Viewing and Exporting Process Platform Snapshot Information

This topic describes the procedure to view and export Process Platform Snapshot information using CMC.

Process Platform Snapshot is a utility that can be accessed through CMC to view and export LDAP and system information related to Process Platform installation.

  1. In a Windows based computer, click Start > Programs > OpenText Cordys <Version> > <Instance Name> > Tools > Cordys Management Console.
    For Linux users
    1. Launch Terminal
    2. CD Process Platform Installation Directory/bin
    3. Execute ./cmc.sh

    The Cordys Management Console window appears.

  2. To view the LDAP information, click Process Platform Snapshot in Cordys Management Console window. Type the LDAP credentials in the Logon dialog that appears and click OK. The Process Platform Snapshot page appears, displaying LDAP Detailsas the default page. The LDAP information of the system is displayed as shown in the following table.

    Displays the name of the machine that hosts the LDAP

    Displays the port number to which the LDAP is configured

    Type

    The type of LDAP (CARS or Netscape)

  3. To view the system information, click <system> from the list on the left pane of Process Platform Snapshot page, and do as follows:
    1. Click Hardware Configuration to view hardware information. The hardware ** information includes processor and memory related information.
    2. Click OS Profile to view OS information. The OS profile ** displays operating system version, service pack, and build information.
    3. Click Process Platform Profile to view information related to Process Platform components. Process Platform Profile displays the versions of Process Platform components, patches installed, the JVM names, the Service Containers configured on the system, and the application packages loaded on the system.
  4. To export Process Platform Snapshot information to an external file, do as follows:
    1. Click Export in the Process Platform Snapshot page. The Export Snapshot window appears.
    2. Select the server and the content to be exported from Select Server and Select Content panes respectively, and click Export. A Export window appears.
    3. Type a name for the file in which the Process Platform Snapshot information will be saved, select the location where the file will be saved, and click Export. The Process Platform Snapshot information is exported as a HTML file to the specified location, and an export confirmation status message is displayed.
